Alan A. Panek
Biography
Alan A. Panek
concentrates his practice in the areas of small business matters,
commercial & residential real estate, and estate planning, elder law
& probate. Central Wisconsin
residents may recognize him from his involvement in Boy Scouting
(Samoset Council) Board of Directors, and Endowment Trustee,
commencing 2011, past district vice-chairman, finance chairman, and
recipient of the 2003 Scouter of the Year award). He is an active
member of the Benevolent & Protective Order of Elks (Elk of the Year
2009) and First
English
Lutheran
Church (Endowment Committee Chairman).
Others may
recognize him as a long time boys’ baseball and girls fast pitch
softball coach. Mr. Panek served under a mayoral appointment to the
Wisconsin Rapids Redevelopment Authority and also the Board of
Review (real estate tax appeals).
Mr. Panek was a
co-chairman of the nationally acclaimed Community Progress
Initiative’s small business cluster group, Community Progress
Initiative Entrepreneurial “Boot Camp” lecturer (Heart of Wisconsin
Business and Economic Foundation), and Entrepreneurial Training
Program speaker (Small Business Development Center/SBA & University
of Wisconsin Stevens Point Extension). He served on the Opportunity
Development Centers, Inc. business acquisition committee.
Mr. Panek is a
member of a multi-industries executive “think tank” group addressing health insurance cost factors in
Central Wisconsin.

providers, real estate management firms, manufacturing and computer
technology concerns, transportation, construction, agricultural &
food processing, retail, accounting, advertising, and professional
services providers.

Mr. Panek
graduated from Hamline
University with a Juris
Doctor in 1983, and he also holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Carthage College majoring in psychology and social
science (business emphasis).
Mr. Panek is a
member of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys (NAELA) and
also the Wisconsin Chapter of NAELA.
The National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys provides a forum
for Elder Law and Special Needs attorneys to share expertise and
education concerning the unique challenges faced by the elderly and
disabled.
